Antenna Business Development Specialist

Job # 2034

Our advanced Technologies section needs you to focus on the acquisition and development of new technologies and products in the areas of antennas and radomes, specialized EW and SIGINT antenna systems, and other advanced EW and CNI antennas to support the growth and profitability. Support funded and internal research and development programs for these technologies and products at all locations. Provide business development and technical proposal support to all of our engineering groups for these technologies and products. Support design, development and sustaining engineering activities here.

You will:

A. Assists in winning new technology contracts at existing and new customers with specific focus on antennas and radomes, specialized EW and SIGINT antenna systems, and other advanced EW and CNI antennas.

B. Provides support to the Antenna Engineering staff on expanding existing product lines and developing new product/system opportunities.  Also supports the Antenna Engineering staff here with customer interface meetings at bid and post-contractual activities.

C. Works closely with the Product Line Managers to ensure all technical proposals are of the highest quality and meet the customers' expectations. Assists with technical/specification negotiations with customers.

D. Works closely with all technical personnel to pursue new system, subsystem and integrated products and component opportunities. Works closely with all Advanced Technology Group personnel to exploit new opportunities and close customer contacts to expand business.

E. Provides recommendations regarding acquisition of new analytical tools for design and development of antennas and radomes, specialized EW and SIGINT antenna systems, and other advanced EW and CNI antennas.

F. Identifies new products for IRAD program consideration and coordinates funding and scheduling. Technical contributor on specific IR&D projects.

G. Participates and maintains understanding of State-of-the-Art application for existing and potentially new products and makes recommendations to pursue new technology/resources and training.

H. Identifies appropriate training for engineering personnel at all of our sites to develop the technical skills for antennas and radomes, specialized EW and SIGINT antenna systems, and other advanced EW and CNI antennas.

I. Performs other duties as assigned by Director, ATG

** SPECIFIC OUTPUTS (That result from each of your major responsibilities)

A. Internal Research and Development (IRAD) Programs that are well managed within the time frames, costs and technical performance goals established.

B. Assist in the preparation of "winning" proposals; those that that are detailed, well written, organized and prepared in accordance with the customer's requirements.

C. Development of new antennas and radomes, specialized EW and SIGINT antenna systems, and other advanced EW and CNI antennas to meet customer applications.

D. Cultivate technical and program management personnel at customers and potential customers to expand business opportunities in antennas and radomes, specialized EW and SIGINT antenna systems, and other advanced EW and CNI antennas.

E. Provide technical assistance to our engineering staff to ensure correct design and development decisions are made to meet customer requirements and profitability objectives.

F. Assist, prepare and distribute meeting reports and weekly activities reports to maximize effectiveness and planning.

You must have come from a Senior Engineering roll in Antenna and/or RF Microwave and have 7 yrs of experience with a Electronics Manufacturer.

We prefer this candidate to be a Senior Engineer currently working with Antennae and/or RF Microwave and have 15 years of experience with a Defense Electronics Manufacturer            

** OTHER QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

1.      Extensive experience in preparation of technical proposals.

2.      Extensive experience in technical presentations to Prime Contractors and US Government customers.

3.      Technical experience with antenna systems, subsystems and integration technology

4.      Technical experience with radomes and radome technology including an understanding of composite technology.

Antenna Design Engineer

Provide technical leadership in the design and analysis of antennas, components, and subsystems associated with military and commercial communications systems. Provide technical review in support of various programs aperture requirements to include antenna performance. The ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to complex system requirements in a team atmosphere is essential. Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers. Strong technical writing skills also required.

Job Duties:
• Performs research and development for
antenna systems, engineered materials, and low observable technology in support of DoD communications, radar and surveillance systems.
• Works closely with program managers in defining and executing technical work, may function as technical task lead, and supports IR&D and business development initiatives.
• Works at all phases of antenna system development from initial concept generation to modeling, prototype fabrication, and test.

Required Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.

                            Antenna Test Range Manager

We are looking for a technical manager to oversee operations, maintenance, upgrades and  coordination of tests in our numerous test facilities at this location.

  • Experience with Antenna measurement facilities. (Anechoic chambers, Compact ranges, scanners, ATE etc.)
  • Write computer programs for new test programs and for Test Range computer workstations. 
  • Write or provide computer programs for data acquisition and data evaluation.

                         Senior Antenna RF (Project) Engineer

  • We are in need of candidates with Antenna design experience, hopefully with some military antenna experience. We design and manufacture Commercial and Defense related systems.
  • You should have a minimum experience of 5-7 years in the RF design, test and build process regarding antennas or their associated components; especially in HF, VHF, UHF and multiple GHz. areas.
  • Knowledge of HP or Tektronix test equipment, anechoic chambers, HFSS or MININEC software required. This candidate must also be able to understand AutoCAD drawings from concept to build.
  • A BSEE minimum preferred. Ability to work on multiple tasks with attention to detail is a MUST.

Mechanical Engineer with strong leadership qualities to provide coordination between design team and manufacturing personnel. The position will supervise the assembly of large antenna structures and provides production engineering support at contractor facilities to ensure a manufactured product ready for installation. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Develops product designs in compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract specifications and cost objectives.

·          Verifies drawings and provides final engineering approval prior to release to Manufacturing.

Radar Cross Section Test Engineering Specialist

We are in need of a Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test engineer.

This position entails working in a High Tech, State of the art facility in a fast paced, modern and fascinating atmosphere.

  • The qualified individual will have recent experience operating, testing and maintaining all aspects of our Radar Ranges, both outdoor test facilities as well as indoor compact ranges / Anechoic Chambers.
  • You must be able to conduct the tests within our Ranges then analyze the data in order to accurately assess the risk level of our products.
  • Modeling experience is a must
  • A Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering Physics or Math is required.
  • 4 – 15 years of experience in an RCS or Antenna Test Range Environment is mandatory.

Antenna Design Engineer

We are in Immediate need of a mid level Antenna Design Engineer

Background in Antenna Design and Electromagnetics essential. Individual will be required to perform computer-aided design and analysis of Antennas, construction of prototype units, and laboratory and local field testing.

Familiarity with EM modeling codes such as NEC and XFDTD, experience with Hewlett-Packard/Agilent RF test equipment including Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers, a background in radio systems, hands-on radio use, and proposal writing experience, a plus.

Results of analysis will be required to be presented in well documented memos, reports and presentations. Motivated self starter, with good written and oral communication skills and good hands on construction skills preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word essential.
